John Schoditsch, Principal at Kensington Development Partners, brings over 24 years of commercial real estate experience to the Company. Prior to his development career he was a First Vice President at CB Richard Ellis and focused on land-based transactions. After a successful tenure at CB Richard Ellis, Schoditsch became a partner at Bradford Real Estate and partnered with Eck to procure the majority of Bradford Real Estate’s development deals. Schoditsch has an exceptional reputation within the brokerage and retail community and has used his many years of experience to cultivate those strong relationships with brokers, retailers and municipalities to help procure and maintain a vital development pipeline. He has a vast amount of experience in site selection, deal procurement, contract and lease negotiation, and entitlements. Over the last 24 years, Schoditsch has worked with the majority of expanding retailers that have entered the Chicagoland area, including, Amazon, Aldi, Mariano’s, LA Fitness, Kohl’s, Cooper’s Hawk, Starbucks, Chase Bank, PNC Bank, Portillo’s, Art Van, Goodyear, Walgreens, CVS, McDonald’s, and Raising Cane’s. Schoditsch uses his expertise in development as well as his vast market knowledge to procure challenging sites for his valued tenants on a reoccurring basis.
Chad Jones, Principal/CFO at Kensington Development Partners, is a CPA and had previously been the Chief Financial Officer of Bradford Real Estate for over 10 years while working in the finance and real estate industries for 20 years. Jones procures all joint venture, banking, and investor relationships for Kensington. He has extensive experience with municipal incentive agreements, lease negotiation, entitlements, property management and contract negotiation. Jones has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a master’s degree in Real Estate Law. Jones will run all financial models and secure all required financing for the development and will be the main point of contact for any incentive agreements with the Village.
Jay Eck, Principal and Managing Director at Kensington Development Partners, has built an enviable reputation as a leader in retail development in the Midwest over the last 30 years. He has persevered through multiple economic cycles, remaining at the forefront of retail trends and leading to completion numerous multi-faceted, groundbreaking developments totaling more than 10 million square feet. Eck coordinates development projects from conception through completion, negotiating purchase agreements with land sellers and leases with the tenants. Eck’s vast experience and creative approach to understanding and solving the complexities that often arise in the development process were a driving force behind his development success over the years. His creative approach and extensive experience will help the development team understand and solve the complexities that will arise from the project.
Dan Rea, Director of Development Services, has worked within the construction industry for 20 years. Prior to joining Kensington Development Partners, he served as a Project Executive for a leading General Contractor in the Chicagoland area and is known in the industry for delivering quality projects on time and within budget. Dan’s prior project accomplishments include 52 completed developments totaling over 1,450,000 SF and $400 million in construction contracts. Dan is responsible for the construction, project coordination and design & development operations for Kensington Development Partners.
Jared Eck, joined the Kensington team as a Development Manager in the Fall of 2019. Jared’s responsibilities and experience include leasing, lease negotiation, contract negotiation, deal procurement, financial modeling, and sourcing/analyzing acquisition opportunities. Jared earned his degree in Economics from Wake Forest University and holds an active real estate license in the State of Illinois. After graduating from Wake Forest, Jared worked as an Office Investment Sales Analyst for HFF, before moving into the development business with Bradford Real Estate in 2018. Since entering the development business in 2018, Jared has been directly involved in 10 projects totaling 342,000 SF of acquisitions/development, as well as responsible for 160,000 SF of new leasing.
Stacy Higdon joined the Kensington team as Operations and Marketing Manager in July of 2019. She is responsible for the creation of marketing materials, social media posts, presentations, research, and daily office operations. Stacy has over 20 years of retail commercial real estate experience assisting top professionals in the representation of national retail tenants throughout the Midwest. Her experience included managing a brokerage office, preparing committee packages, assembling GIS aerials, anchor/trade-area studies, completing market research, and running demographics for such retailers as Art Van, Petco, JoAnn Stores, and Kohl’s. Stacy understands the demands of real estate development, leasing and management, and excels at ensuring tenant and client satisfaction.
Tiffany Palisoc joined the Kensington Team as an Accounting Manager in March 2021. She has 7 years of real estate accounting experience between warehouse and multifamily asset classes in various roles from Property Accounting to Financial Reporting. During her experience as a property accountant, she managed 33 million SQFT in CAM over 15 states and 184 assets. In her recent role, she worked in Financial Reporting supporting 6 multifamily assets with various tasks from lender reporting, audit compliance, and monthly portfolio review on operating key metrics. She will assist Chad Jones in maintaining Kensington Developments joint ventures, banking, investor relationships. She will oversee the monthly close for wholly owned properties, financial reporting for JV partners, construction draws, loan reporting and oversee the various accounting tasks for Kensington Development Partners. She received her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Benedictine University.
